This article published in IOL.com, copied as ‘fair use’, makes the point that while earlier research had supported the benefits of taking Cancer bush (Sutherlandia frutescens) for reducing stress in healthy people, “the picture changes when an individual is infected with the HI-virus” , and therefore should not be taken by anyone who is HIV-positive as research has shown it exacerbates inflammation of the central nervous system.

Clinicians and AIDS workers have condemned Imuniti Holdings for claims it is making about its nutritional supplements.

Henry Stassen, from Edge to Edge Investments, which distributes for Imuniti, says the company manufactures a nutritional pack that eradicates HIV.

More sex = a longer life? Really???

The local South African magazine Health Intelligence Edition 12 proclaims on its cover: "Passion promotes health – sex for a longer life".

 

(Note: The highlighting box has been added.) On page 20 the article has the title: "Sex, so necessary for positive health: sex is a buzzword that defies trendsetting and social mores, staying top of mind and tip of tongue" and is written by Kirsten Alexander.  It is seemingly supported by 12 "scientific references" .

Miracle mineral supplement / Faith Drops

In the USA, a product called Miracle mineral supplement is sold claiming to be able to cure malaria, AIDS, and a number of other conditions. The science is very implausible. It is also sold by individuals in South Africa. It may be similar to Faith Drops (www.cancercure.co.za ) (which claims to be able to cure AIDS and cancer – also implausible). In fact, we could use a much harsher word to describe these products.

Are they the same product? They do resemble each other in some instances. Telling is the statement “Miracle mineral supplement” at the bottom of the Faith Drops URL at www.cancercure.co.za.

Are we the only ones warning consumers that this product can harm you more than heal you? No, the USA FDA MedWatch warns: “Miracle Mineral Solution (MMS): Product as consumed produces a potent bleach that can cause serious harm”.
